Details

The Maya towel is perfect for the beach, bath, home, or to wear. Finished with a soft eyelash fringe and made with pure Turkish cotton. Treat yourself to pure luxury!

The colours on each side of the Maya towel are inverted, creating two distinctly unique looks - one darker and one lighter. It is a thicker Turkish towel, as creating this type of design requires an extra layer of threads.

Made on traditional jacquard looms by our artisan partner weavers in Turkey, these towels are sewn with a looser stitching, resulting in a heavier fabric and softer touch.

The Maya towel is stylish and warm, making it a great addition to any home as a towel or throw. Its cozy, modern weave and beautiful pattern also make it easy to use as a scarf or shawl for the colder months.

Turkish Cotton Benefits:

-extremely durable fibre
-gets softer with every wash
-absorbs and wicks away water faster than the average towel

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Before using a Turkish towel for the first time, soak them in cold water (like in a bathtub) for 12 hours. Wring out as much water as possible from the towels and then hang to dry. This makes the material softer and absorbent. Cotton in the linen expands when soaked.
Machine wash them in cold water with similar colours for the best outcome. Turkish towels can go in the dryer after the first use, but make sure to tumble dry on a low or medium heat. Using too much heat can overwhelm the cotton thread, causing towels to get dry and less soft. Don’t use bleach or fabric softener on Turkish towels for any reason. Bleach will alter the colours and dry out the fabric, and fabric softener makes it less absorbent. Instead, wash your Turkish towels with 1 cup of vinegar every so often to naturally kill bacteria. Do this about once a month maximum to not overdo it.

Care

  • Machine wash in cold water
  • Hang to dry
  • Sweater brush keeps fabric looking fresh after washing

Turkish towels!

I found out how to properly take care of these towels and am confident it will work out fine. I live in Carmel not Istanbul so I messed up. Thanks for getting back to me explaining how to be successful with these beautiful and soft towels.
