This is a Boucherouite rug — a distinctly Moroccan tradition of turning recycled cotton fabric scraps (leftover from clothing factories) into bold, one-of-a-kind floor art. The name refers to the practice itself: nothing wasted, everything transformed.

Made by a collective of women artisans in Morocco, each rug is woven using two techniques at once — flat weave and hand-knotting — creating a layered texture and structure you can feel underfoot. The result is durable enough for daily life and unique enough to anchor a room.
